On the 8^th of February 2018 in Ogarev Mordovia State University solemn meeting dedicated to Russian science Day took place. Honored guests – the Head of Mordovia V. Volokov, the Head of the State Assembly V. Chibirkin, the deputy prime-minister, Minister of Industry A. Sedov – took part in the meeting.

The executives of Mordovia sent holiday greetings and handed out awards to scientists and engineers, members of research centers, representatives of innovative enterprises of the republic.

Among the awardees there is a testing engineer of “Optic Fiber Systems” Maxim Buralkin. He is awarded Diploma of the Government of Mordovia Republic for following faithfully his professional activities and for good performance in his career.

In the course of the meeting it was noted, that Mordovia has made serious progress in innovation development now being a leader in the share of innovative products in the entire production volume.

What was specially noted and recognized as a success is startup of the first Russian factory of optical fiber production. The plant has produced more than 1,5 million km of fiber, which is demanded all over the world, and now is still ramping up productive and economic potential.
