“Optic Fiber Systems” has got loaning from Industrial Development Fund

Expert board of Industrial Development Fund approved loaning of 500 million rubles for “Optic Fiber Systems” JSC.

The first Russian manufacturer of telecommunication and industrial optical fiber is planning to ramp up production facilities one-and-a-half-times. “Optis Fiber Systems” was the first company which started mass production of optical fiber across the Eurasian Economic Union.

Before that Russian demand for optical fiber was satisfied by means of import, mainly from the USA and Japan. High quality of optical fiber made  it possible for the company to export production successfully in 2017 to the countries of European Union (Austria, Great Britain, Chech Republic etc.), China and also EEU countries (Belorussia in particular).  Staged ramp up through the equipment modernization will make it possible to produce no less than 3,2 million km of optical fiber annually providing the ability of further output increase till 4,5 million km. 

Andrey Nikolaev, the general director of “Optic Fiber Systems”: “Implementation of the project of ramping up factory producing facilities will make it possible not only to strengthen positions of the enterprise at the Russian and foreign markets, but also to provide competitive capacity in the long-term by cost reduction and appliance of the most modern technologies. We appreciate the support of Industrial Development Fund in further development of such an important for Russia production of a key component of modern communication networks.

Over the period from 2015 to 2019 total investment to optical fiber production industry will reach 959,3 million rubles, 500 million of which will be loaned by Industrial Development Fund as a soft loan.
