On July 5, 2023, during the townhall meeting   the management awarded employees who have been working for the company for 10 years or more.

13 employees of the enterprise were awarded an honorary badge and a cash bonus. They were the ones who stood at the origins of the first Russian optical fiber production.

The list of “OVS veterans” was headed by Andrey Nikolaev, General Director of Optic fiber Systems JSC, who turned a new page in the company’s history. It was he, who in 2013, began the construction of the plant and the formation of a team of specialists for the first and only optical fiber enterprise in Russia.

The right strategy made it possible to build and launch the plant in record time - 1.5 years and it was therefore put into operation as early as June 2015.

The official opening of the plant was held in September 2015, and commercial production and sales of products began in October 2016. The company's employees managed to master unique competencies that are constantly improved. Specialists with extensive work experience pass on their experience to young staff, which means the company’s history continues.

In his speech, Andrey Nikolaev expressed gratitude to the employees who stood at the origins of the company for their conscientious work and significant contribution to the development of the enterprise.

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude and say: we are proud to have you as part of our team. Your example and dedication to our constant principles – commitment and competence serve as an inspiration for us all to strive for high standards and achievements. We believe that this new award will motivate our employees to continue their professional development and strive for new heights,” the company’s general director noted in his congratulatory speech.

An honorary badge for 10 years of work is a symbol of dedication and high professional competence, representing the contribution and work of each employee. From this year on, such an award will be given to each employee who reaches the 10th anniversary of work at the enterprise.

“Optic fiber Systems” JSC (www.rusfiber.ru) – is the first and the only Russian plant manufacturing optical fiber. The plant is situated in Saransk, Mordovia Republic. It was officially opened on 25 September 2015. The shareholders of the company are RUSNANO, Gazprombank and the Government of Mordovia Republic.

Optical fiber is the main component of optic cables for signal transmission in modern communication networks. Fiber is also used as a sensor for monitoring deformation, temperature, acoustics and other indicators.

"Optic fiber Systems" JSC produces telecommunication optical fibers of standards G652 and G 657 A1 including those with reduced diameter of 200 microns; provides services on optical fiber coloring and the application of ring marks "ringmarking". Optical fibers of new types such as G651 and G655 are being prepared for release. Products are certified in Russia and the quality is confirmed by "Rostelecom" PJSC, Russia's leading cable companies and foreign consumers.

According to the results of certification, optical fiber was approved for use on the networks of the largest Russian Telecom operators Rostelecom, MTS, MegaFon and others.

Manufacturing capacity of the plant is 4 mln kilometers of optical fiber per year.
